Food Hygiene Interactive Resources
These additional interactive activities can be used as stand-alone activities or, to support any of the food hygiene lesson plans, developed as part of the SafeConsume project.
Food Safety Pledge
Call to action: Chose one simple pledge about how you'll make better food safety practices and help reduce foodborne illness.
SafeConsume Recip-E-Book
Ever wanted to cook delicious, exciting and new dishes from across Europe? e-Bug's European collaborators have selected some traditional recipes from Denmark, England, France, Greece, Hungary, Portugal and Spain. Most of the recipes contain 'high-risk' ingredients such as chicken, fish and eggs, which if not cooked properly could lead to foodborne illness. With the help of food safety instructions, students will be able to make each delicious dish, safely.
Food Safety Debate Kit
In collaboration with 'I'm a Scientist', the food safety debate kit aims to help students understand the issues surrounding food hygiene and safety, and to practice their debating skills.
Food Journey Animation
This animation follows the journey of food from the shop to our plates, highlighting key moments throughout the user journey where food safety and hygiene are particularly important. With safe food hygiene behaviours and practices, we reduce the risk of cross-contamination when buying, preparing, cooking, and consuming foods. Safe food hygiene behaviours and practices reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses.
The aim of this animation is to increase knowledge and change behaviour around food hygiene and safety practices.
